European Social Services Conference,
Vienna, 19 – 21 June 2006

The European Social Network (ESN) brings together directors of health and social services of the communities and regions in Europe. The aim of the ESN is offer an opportunity for regular cooperation and a continuous exchange of information and experience among public authorities, social insurance institutions and welfare organisations active in this field.

To this end, the ESN holds an annual European Social Services Conference organised with the support of the respective EU Presidency. This year’s event held under the Austrian EU Presidency takes place from 19 to 21 June 2006.

The annual conference is a forum for exchanging best practices in the social field and establishing contacts among 300 participants from 25 European countries.

Topic: Health and social welfare in an ageing Europe: the challenges of demographic change.
